Accommodation needed - Pony trekking Black Mountains

Hi, New to site - can anyone tell me of some good self catering accommodation near the Black Mountains - i have organised some pony trekking for my horsey girlfriend (i am non horsey!), it's an anniversary, so luxury would be good! Many thanks..
 
Hello Henderson!!

I know the area well. i went up there for a reunion over the summer and stayed in an awesome place called Holt Farm near Craswell. I'm sure i saw some pony treks going by!

We stayed in the Barn which has beams and fireplaces and really funky bedrooms with spiral staircases. The place is absolutely gorgeous and i'm sure there was a cosy cottage there which would be ideal for a romantic getaway -Lucky girl!!!

Holt Farm? Not pony trekking? I'm sure they do. We went for a week of walking and to various festivals. But i'm pretty sure that the family staying in The Farm where only there for a long weekend.

I got an email from them recently and apparently they're doing 20% off for January and February 2010. I'm sure they won't mind if I pass on the password - "Luxury". Enjoy Henderson. It's absolutely lovely up there. I may well see you up there. I think the riding place as called Tregoyd. There are some great places to have a good gallop and the sense of space is lovely. There are also wild welsh mountain ponies up there that you can get quite close to on horseback. Hay on Wye is close and they'll probaby have some suggestions for other stables too.
