Hi everybody ( only my second ever post on here ! :) )

Im curious to know what everyone has achieved in 2012 and what all your goals are for 2013 :)

Brownies and ice cream on offers ;)

Not an awful lot achieved in 2012 had up and downs having to find a new horsey however we have managed to qualify for the trailblazer 2nd rounds in dressage. Goals for 2013 qualify for trailblazer finals affliate BD and maybe do a petplan area festival :) none horsey goal finish my third year as a student nurse and find a job lol whether or not the goals happen remain to be seen ( hopefully the none horsey ones will happen or I'm bug*ered)

I'm ending 2012 with too many horses, so aims for 2013 are to sell at least one, even better two! 2012 wasn't a great year for horses (various personal, family stuff), not a single show, pleasure ride, anything really, but 2013 should be different - Tinner will be backed early spring, and then I get to ride him on through the year. Peter will have plenty of groundwork put into him before being offered for sale, Harley will come of age (21!) and we'll celebrate our 16 year owniversary, and if someone wants to buy Leo he'll go.

Competitively not acheived as much as I'd have liked this year, but Fergs has come on leaps and bounds, so can't complain too much...

his canter's doubled in size  (even when I sit on my hands and block him like a pleb)

he's jumping much more confidently with so much enthusiasm :D

we've played some horseball, granted at rather a slow pace :D

and won our first full trec with Angua2! Pretty good year all in :D

Next year, more of the same, hopefully - maybe a BD debut, and our (very little!) ODE debut that was cancelled due to transport issues this summer with a bit of luck. And as much TREC as we can - hopefully even braving an individual class at some point :D

Oh and I got a thead in H&H :D

This with my 5yo Pickle, just 3 months after buying him!

Next year the plan is to move him up to BE100, possibly a Novice at the end of the season.

And with Jem finishing the season 7th in the BE foundation points league table! Not bad for a £100 horse! Gratuitous (sp?) pic

For next season our aim is to have fun. She owes me nothing, so no need to push her out of her comfort zone.

At the back end of 2013 I am also planning on backing my homebred youngster

No pics but completing my first ODE on the young TB that was given to me at the end of 2011 as he was dangerous!
He gave me the most amazing ride XC. Despite having never seen a proper coffin or a trakehner before he didn't question a thing. I'm so excited about starting BE with him in March :)

I'm curious to know why you'd announce it was only your second post when it's quite obvious that your post count exceeds that?

Oh oops i didnt realise my post count did exceed that!
I ment thread also :P i completly forgot i had a account on here and only just found the password and having not found my way around yet i cant keep track of what im doing lol doh!

Highlights were getting my highest ever score of 75% with mr spot bott in prelim and qualifying for area festivals several times over.
Highlights with stressy mare would be doing my first ever elementary and getting 60%! And doing my first area festival at getting 64.5%.
Highlights with new ponio would be backing her in first 4 weeks of having her and her behaving like an angel
Highlights with my now sold exmoor pony would be schooling her and having her learn so quickly and generally being amazing and doing first jumps with her and selling her to a home where she can do her favourite things- socialise and eat. And its a home for life :D

2013 goals-
Qualify for novice restricted regionals with spot bott
Do our first elementary
If I have time then do the appaloosa show in warwickshire.

With stressy my plan is to hopefully get our first BD point
Get her training confidently at medium

With baby pony plan is to back her properly in the spring and do a walk and trot test.
And generally have fun :D

Oh wow JustFindingTheDecorations sounds like you've had a whale of a year! What threat in H&H are you in? ( congrats btw!)

Charlimouse - £100 horse are you serious!!!?? He looks amazing!

Rowy - well done on 2012 sounds like you've had a good year! Hahaha love the nickname 'stressy' !

I cleared 1.37m in a Puissance 2 weeks ago!!! It was terrifying. But exhillerating. My horse has never cleared this height. We usually jump 1m and the occasional 1.10m and the odd 1.20m. Highlight of the year for me.

We have started doing some riding club dressage and it is a disaster so ambitions for 2013 are to improve and not come last and do some rc eventing.

quite a lot of little things achieved this year- got our little girl going after a fright end of last year, took my eldest pony out to his first sponsored ride, and had control in a snaffle, jumped everything, including some of the biggest fences! took my ginger pony out properly competitively round our 1st 2ft9-3ft course and came sixth and he was amazing.
My biggest achievmentthough was allowing my ginger one to go and have fun with a fab pony club family, hunting and being loved having so much fun- definitely hard to see my baby go out on loan! and picking up Tiger my 5yo sec d, and placing at our first 3 shows 3,1,1,5,5 and getting 66% at our most recent prelim as the worst score yet, first time indoor!
aims for next year include taking lola and tiger to a county show (inhand/ridden respectively) getting tiger competing at a couple of novices and a few baby workers with him! Super excited!

Finally getting to have a full endurance season with my young mare. Having spent the last two summers negotiating our way around earthquakes and other stuff she is finally an 80 km horse.

And with a bit of luck and all going to Plan A :p she will be a 100 km horse by the end of our season in March.

it does also count replies you have put on other peoples posts! so it probably is the 2nd post you have started! but you might have replied to others :D

We didn't achieve lots in 2012 mainly due to the weather and some lameness but I did get my highest dressage score (65%). I would like to improve on that and try some dressage to music in 2013. My biggest wish for 2013 is to have a sound horse!

2012, I didn't achieve much that I had hoped to (other than getting another horse :o).

For 2013, I have the following goals:
Taking M to a show/ dressage
Back B
Fit in more riding
Get A happily loading

2012 has been pretty good really:

We started by doing a dressage test at our yard's new year show and hacking to a local hunt meet to see the hounds.

Then we celebrated our 1 year owniversary and madam turned 5.

Then I towed a trailer for the first time, and madam travelled in one for the first time!

We started lessons and learned flying changes.

We did our first rc showing class and won a pretty lilac frilly. Then our first rc prelim dressage and won a green frilly.

Then we had a slow summer due to work but made up for it by going autumn hunting :D madam was a total pro and we had an amazing time.

Then our plans for spending autumn and winter hunting and dressaging were dashed when madam went lame.

So a slow end to the year, but we're back up and running with the help of hoof boots.

Aims for next year:
Get madam sound enough to get back out dressage and showing.

Go hunting again

And I believe we may be getting our picture in horse magazine!

2012

Bought the old boy back into jumping after 4 years! Retired him too early (due to me worrying!) and after some advice from fellow veteran owners and my vet, decided to bring him bk into it. Much to his approval :)

3 Local wins in Veteran Ridden Showing including first show of the season!
2 Regional Qualifiers for VHS In-hand and Ridden Showing
Numerous Dressage placings with our best score to date!
2 SJ Classes with 2 wins after a 4yr break
4th place in first pairs HT after 4yr break
10th place in first ODE in over 10yrs!! Decided to give it a go!

2013

Hopefully more Local & VHS Showing than this year!
Some WH Classes now we are jumping again!
Few more ODEs as long as he is fit and up for it
Maybe some RC Team stuff?
Cubbing & Hunting

2012 did not compete much what with family, weather and time constrants but did manage to get out to some prelim dressage... really got on top of my horsey and finally feel like we have a partnership now and trust him so much more. Had loads of lessons which i hope to carry through to next year, also joined my local RC which has been ace, met loads of new friends.
2013 aspirations are 1. To compete at Novice dressage. 2. To do lots of rides with other people to get my horse used to cantering in a group as this just blows his mind! 3. To do more jumping! 4. To continue to have loads of fun and keep learning!

2012 getting the girl fit again after a very very quiet 2011. Not many outings due to various reasons but got champion at rc show for first time (have managed reserve before) also had our first 'holiday' to the beach which was amazing so going again next year :) also now have our own trailer so no excuses next year!!

2013 - compete in every discipline for a change as mainly just show. Try and qualify to go away somewhere. Take my trailer test. Got a new horse arriving in a few days to work with for a friend so a nice little project to take me into the spring. Can't wait :)

JFTD Fergs is looking fab in canter - so much more grown up and balanced, showing real promise! The jumping has improved too!

Thanks! dafthoss rode him today and was dying laughing at him big bouncy uphill canter :D *irrationally proud of pony*

I hope L comes sound soon so you can hit the hounds (not literally!) :D What's this about a pic in "Horse"?

The highlight of this year was finally managing to get the Current Appy to the National Show in The North :) The fact that she loaded and travelled like a pro, behaved impeccably all day and came second in the Riding Horse class, were the absolute icing on the cake :D Sister then bought a waggon, which has had a couple of issues, which are now well on the way to being resolved (new floor going in in January)
Soooo, the goals for next year are :- to take the Appy and sisters enormous mare out in the waggon to hacks that we haven't done for years, as they are too far to hack to (returning to old stamping grounds) Then to take the Appy to a couple of county shows where they have ridden breed classes :) Also hoping to get to a couple of local dressage shows too. Am praying for a lot less rain in the next year!

Achievements: Got a share horse in March and finally it feels like there is something between us now :D Won 3 rosettes - 2 clear rounds and the other at a mini ODE at my riding school. Breakthrough with my jumping position (although its gone back to square 1 lately :() Theres properly tonnes more but those are the ones that spring into my mind.
Goals: to do a trial ride, celebrate and continue to enjoy my share horse and maybe do an Interdressage comp on him :)

Achievements -
Managed to get my super quirky 14 year old 15.2hh to finally be able to jump 1m double clear and go to shows without a drama!
This horse couldnt jump a cross pole without demolishing it in about January 2011 at the age of 12 and to think he has now got BS winnings and jumping 1m double clear - he rarely touches a pole!
He also used to get ridiculously insecure at shows to the point where I had to get off - since moving to a yard he is a different horse.

Another achievement - finally getting my horse of a lifetime my 4yr old ISH after having tried 16 horses! Most of which were nothing like described :( it was stressful but we got there in the end!

Goals for 2013 - to get my 4 year olds eventing underway, she will start with Eden valley 80 where she will have just turned 5,
I also aim for my BN double clears

With my Older horse my goal is to hopefully have success at intermediate workers and keep those double clears coming!

2012 highlight
Doing my (and the horses) first ever novice test and getting 65% plus qualifying for trailblazer 2nd rounds.

Aims for 2013
Qualify for trailblazers finals
Work toward higher scores at novice and perhaps an easy elementary!!

First rosette (6th) at indoor driving trials. I'm an ancient beginner with a young novice pony and we've taken about 8 tries to get from so far last that we might as well have been in another class to a place, I'd dead chuffed with her(despite trying to eat the centre marker made with chaff) and with me! I'm aiming for a 3rd in 2013.

Achievements - I got my first horse!!!
First hack alone on Ned, over came his first (and hopefully only) relapse, got him in a stable, got him in a (stationary) trailer, came 2nd in a show, rode him to my house and other such things!

Goals - Earn 1st in a show (I've got 2 1sts, but I was the only one in the class LOL), travel somewhere, go on a looooong hack (15miles+), become a better horse owner!
