Just a heads up I've had to move mine out of the oak tree field today. The crazy hot weather in the south east means they've started dropping like crazy today🤦‍♀️

NNNOOOOOO!!!!!!!

I've got a field waiting for the boys to move into in time for the acorns to drop (I was thinking sept), but currently it's just to hot and there isn't enough shade there for my liking. They are currently in a field that now identifies as a desert - acorns will just be to tempting this year I fear.

Luckily they've already grazed it down but it's a nice bit of shade we have to lose very early. I don't ever remember them falling in August?!

The oak trees are laden this year. We started picking up acorns a couple of weeks ago. Mainly tiny, very green ones, but now some normal sized ones. Luckily the bright green makes them easy to spot. The horses dont seem very interested atm - too bitter at that size I think.
