If a horse was given the above, how long would it be in the horses system for ? For example, would it take a week to come out or just a few days ? A friend thinks her horse may have been dopped

Not sure, but if it's a serious concern your friend should get onto her vet this morning and ask for advice. They'll give her the best advice. Good luck :)

Not long - my horse haa Sedalin for shoeing and wears off in a few hours - next day he is completely back to normal . I think when the ACP is working you can see the corner of your horses eye kind of flicker ( hard to explain sorry ) back and forwards - at least that is how I know it has started to work.

The effects are only obvious for a few hours. But it actually stays in there system for about 3months so she can get vet to have him tested. Why does she think he been doped out of interest?

Thanks for the replys, he was very calm when she went to try him, but now he is home he is a different horse, i know he is obviously abit unsettled at the moment, but he is very sharp, he was a completely different when she tried him.

Speak to your vet. I would get bloods done asap. Dont just wait to see if the horse is unsettled as it will be too late by then. Hopefully the horse is just unsettled and will calm down soon but worth a test to see. Mel x

ive been told that acp and sedalin come out the horses blood system in a few days, so not sure if its worth her getting his blood tested as its costs alot of money and if the blood will be clear then there is no point ???????? We are not sure what to do
