ACP tablets. How many do I give??

Hey my boys 14.3 mw. when on box rest I gave him 10 and he was very sleepy. I havent ever needed 2 give acp 4 clipping but just some advice leave for over 30mins a relaxed place so she can relax. Sedalin is very good which u can get from the vet good for clipping horses.

Hehe, my mares 14.1hh, she had 7 and was still kicking, and generally mental

Where as a friends 17hh would be knocked out if he took that many, depends on the horse

Depends on the horse.

Big mare was on 2 twice a day to just take the edge off on box rest. Flynn had 2 by mistake - occasionally I have these stupid days - and when we put him out in the turnout area he lay down and wouldn't get up for 2 hours.

Both Flynn and the mare are around 16.2

The vet who supplied the ACP should have told you how many to give. Please do NOT self prescribe - phone your surgery for instruction.

Ditto, but ACP can sometimes cause the horse to sweat, which isn't much use for clipping. I've used Sedalin before, but again, please speak to your vet for advice

Simple really - as your Vet (hopefully, you are not buying them elsewhere) is going to be dispensing your ACP Tablets - why not just ask him/her?!

Can't remember how many I gave my 3.5 yo prior to him going away to be backed. Did check with the vet and however many it was, it did not make the slightest bit of difference to him. He was just as hyper - sorry - no help at all, but it doesn't always work I have been told!
