Anyone been on a adult horse camp with Active Rider??
Have just seen that there is one at Bishop Burton in August and would love to give it a go, so any views/experiences would be great.
Am trying to get my friend to come too but don't think she can make it. Would it be silly to go on my own? Or do you think there will be others on their own too?

Went on one when it was horse camp, and went on my own.

Had a fab time do you now I cant remember if there was anyone else on their own cause everyone was so friendly.

Take some wine (or whatever) relax and have fun

go for it, what lessons would you do?

There is a choice of dressage, show jumping or XC lessons. I haven't had my horse very long so haven't done any jumping yet, so might go with dressage, although I love jumping (well, I used to do when I was a teenager and dared jump anything!) and jumping might be more fun. Have just emailed them to check there are some places left before I get my hopes up!

The jumping cater for all levels if you put youself in the lowest group it'll be poles on floor upwards and in you can always swap for the second day if its too much otherwise you'll just be doing dressage/flat work and miss out on the fun bits!!

I went on it when it was Horse Camp. You'll be fine on your own, although we went in a group some did go on their own and you'll make lots of friends anyway

I'm going to the Milton Keynes one next month, really looking forward to it. Am going to ring them & drop down a group though, as first I had an operation then Kizzy was lame, so we haven't been up & running very long, maybe I can move up a group on day 2 if we feel happy. Let me know if anyone else is doing this one.
