Activo-Med Magnetic/Massage Rugs

I am thinking of buying one of these rugs http://www.fmbs.co.uk/activo-med-combi-pro-system.html for my horse which has a very sore back.

Got a price of £2,500 ...... ouch ouch ouch.

Am going to rent one for a couple of weeks first then if it seems to work on him then buy him. So, to try and recoup some of the costs I want to either rent it out for a week at a time or go to people yards and rent it for a session.

Do you think its a service people would want and if so what charge do you think is reasonable. FMBS charge £125 a week to hire this one, so probably thinking of £100 a week but no idea for individual sessions locally.

Ideas?

I have not used one before, but know someone who is very involved with magnetic therapies and researching their effects, and from what i can understand there is no scientific proof that they work after extensive tests and a law suite or two! sorry

But some people swear by them so maybe worth a try - i would deffo rent first as that is sooooo Expensive! And there might be lots of people who want to rent one before buying, so you could probably rent it out?

Just be careful on all the paperwork side of things: insurance, the fact that if anything goes wrong you won't be able to claim back from the supplier (unless you've told them it will be used commercially), and probably a few more my head hasn't thought of.
