Hi does anyone have a horsebox with an adblue tank on it next to the diesel tank? Just looking at buying one that has this but not sure how it works and if it is in plentiful supply? Any advice welcome.
Dad is a lorry fitter.....Hates Adblue with a vengeance. More goes wrong with Adblue engines and he would not buy a horse lorry with one if he could help it.
My oh is a trucker too. His boss offered him fur brand new motors to replace his 54 plate a couple of years ago. He finally accepted the 5th because its a scania 480 which for some reason doesnt have adblue. He says its a pain in the backside and limits the garages he can refuel at.(he needs to get a lot into a day and doesnt want to stop twice) hes just knocked back a v8 for the same reason.
Against the grain then, but two works' horseboxes had Adblue. They were both Mercs. They were reliable, and great to drive.
There are some garages where you just fill up next to the diesel pump. Others you buy a small container like an oil container and fill it up from there. You only seem to put a little Adblue in, and it is about 1 in 10 times you fill up? Or even less?
Of course commercial vehicle drivers would know better, but we did not have any problems.
