Adders in Richmond Park

For anyone who walks a dog in that area - friends dog was rushed to the vet with what they thought might be Alabama Rot, an area of her flank that was spreading and going dark in colour. Turns out to have been an adder bite, owner never saw a snake so just be aware

I have seen a couple of bushes with buds growing. Seen it other years too. The weather must be sort of wrong these days.

Too mild for hedgehogs too - rescues are inundated

My husky once drived into some long grass & emerged with an angry, very loudly hissing adder in his mouth! It quickly became a dead adder, it didn't bite him fortunately, there are probaly a lot more of them around than we realise, especially in this wet mild weather we're having.
