Adding salt to horses diet?

I've been thinking of adding salt to my 2 year old filly's diet, but I just need some advice as to how much and what kind of salt (is table salt ok)?

Filly is currently on suregrow, mag ox and of course forage.

i would and do. i know they cant get enough from a salt lick so its best to add it to the feed esp in warm weather so they replace some electrolytes. i would go with rock salt as its pure. table salt has rubbish added to it. i tend to do about a table soon each day.
