Any reccomendations on who to go for to put on skirts on a horsebox???? Got one quote the other day and was over £4k, didnt even pay that much for the wagon!!!

I would have thought a simple steel fabrication company would be able to make them???

Any laws or specifications on skirts??

Cheers guys :)

We used wood. Did it ourselves and painted it black. Looked really good too :) Did need painting every 18months or so but. Cost less than £150.

I no longer have the same lorry. But it is still local and 8yrs later skirts are fine.
It's really simple to do. Honestly no one could tell it was wood We used self tapping screws and a few brackets underneath

I would draw on the wood the shapes so that you get the same sized wheel arches.
Seal the wood well with something that can be painted over, before fixing so you get to parts you may not be able to get to once on that was a mistake we made so a little water got into the wood.

Oh and plan the joins for the best look. You can fill the join with wood filler and sand down if you like. We used flat brackets at the bank to hold join together

It's been a while so just drop me a pm if there's anything in particular you want to know. It makes a massive difference to the appearance so well worth it!!
