So was anyone else there?

Some lovely horses but with the exception of one sold at £40K most not making much money. 40 were listed in the catalogue amd omly about 5 added on the night. !4 didn't sell and about 10 were withdrawn. A few sold afterwards. We came away with one foal having not really intended to buy.

A good night out but a bit cold!

We bought Diane but you'd have had more competition for Amore S if we hadn't , likewise the people who bought the first foal which we were underbidder on as we had our eyes on her too. Yas Amore was basically but a foal get a free mare!

When GAN1 says "we" bought Amore last night what she really means is she nodded at the auctioneer by accident and they took it as me increasing my bid!!!
Seriously though I am very happy to be the proud owner of such a beautiful mare.
Just goes to show - money might not be able to buy love but it can buy Amore and that's good enough for me

I know that the Sandro Hit 3 yr old who was there on nehalfd of Catherston (owned by a client of theirs) made a decent £11, 000 so some decent money at least did change hands

couldn't believe how little the foals were going under the hammer for. Some nice horses to be had for not very much.
I am very pleased with my buy-one-get-one-free purchase, though it was a bit nerve wracking having to check she was sound and healthy AFTER buying her!

oh!I looked at that mare in the catalogue and thought she was stunning...very well done on buying her

I know only one of the foals went back (Lot 1 which was poorly and withdrawn) - the ones which didn't reach reserve were all sold. As has been said before the foals were all going for next to nothing. The dearest through the ring was £2500 and I know the ones sold afterwards were all in the £2-3K band. I offered £1700 for the one they didn't sell but they were after £2200. Quite glad they didn't take it really as we've got enough foals and youngstock to be going on with!

Did lot 1 definately go back? I was kinda hoping someone would still take him, rather than enduring the trip there and back for nothing (sorry, being a softy lol)

I almost bought him myself, but then sensible head kickd in as im not really geared for a foal.
