Any recommendations. Long story but We might have just acquired a 12.2 mini cob (unbacked 4 yo) For my son... I’m a bit out of touch with little saddles and don’t really want to spend a four figure sum on one tbh.. is there any decent saddle fitters round Cheshire that might have something leather and adjustable for this little fella?

ps no phots yet as not arrived yet but just planning the next few weeks with him...

I would say focus on the right tree shape and not adjustable, most wooden trees can be adjusted enough for minor shape changes and they tend to fit wider shapes better. Once a horse or pony has changed more than 1.5 widths they often need a different tree and/or panel shape anyway.
