Hi All,

I'm looking at buying a 506 to travel my gelding in - he's full up 16.2 which is why I'm looking getting the newer model with bigger headroom.

I'd only be travelling him in it, so I'd want to adapt it by taking the partition out and putting the full width breaching bars in. Looking at the pictures of the inside there is a metal bar in the centre of the partition from the floor to the ceiling as standard. How easy is this to remove and does it affect the trailer at all i.e. structural integrity?

Awaiting some christmassy wisdom! Thanks :)

That's good to hear, it looked a bit fiddly from the photos but I'll have a good close up look when I go shopping next weekend!

I'll just need somewhere to store all the bits that I don't need then!! :o

I don't have a 506 but have a 510 which was really easy to remove partition from. I would only ever use with both a breast and breech full width bars for safety of horse and humans. Read on a thread earlier this week that Ifor Williams have said that the breast and breech bars are both needed for structural integrity of the trailer. I bought bars direct from Ifor Williams - cost me £80 for the pair about 7 years ago - I think they are 90 ish now.
