I love adult camp.....we did one in June and we have now got one in two weeks time as well, we only do four days as now we are big people we have things like work etc....and some more grown up ones have little people too. lol

I take everything.........feed, hay, rugs, boots, tack, grooming kit, comp gear if you have one at the end, your riding stuff etc.....emergency first aid....sounds over the top maybe but Bug tripped last time and had blood pumping out of her face.....wet weather gear.......

Basically all the equipment that you'd need for the disciplines that you are doing at camp - so xc boots and tack, sj stuff, dressage saddle if different. Remember to take plenty of numnahs - for rain/ sweat..

Same for you too - everything you'd need to ride in the various lessons..

Basic care stuff - buckets, nets, rugs, washing off stuff. First aid equip - equine and human.

Feed - many places provide haylage (your club would tell you) but you take your own hard feeds. I always put in extra, as the horses work much harder than they do at home, so they get a bit more...

Finally, if you were going to our RC camp you'd need lots of alcohol for the evenings!!

haha lol Sammii, yes im only doing 4 day as well, but have the friday off to recover before my Birthday! haha!!

No its not the Oct one, its just one organised by a friend its the last week in September, I cant wait!!

Shes not on any hard feed at the moment but im thinking as she will be stabled for 4 days (well I guess there stabled) then she will need something plus shes only a baby so will need it for energy I would think!

Its been sooooo long since I went away over nights etc with my horse to a comp etc so need to sit down and write it all out I think! haha! what am I like, im sure I will forget something! haha!!

other practical stuff:

Headtorch

Cool box for (boozy) drinks(i find that if I put the bottles in then pack loads of loose ice cubes all round them, the ice will stay frozen nearly all weekend) (also supplies ice if required for ice packs) can also keep sealed food in their (like bacon)

flip flops and maybe swim suit (communal showers can be skanky!)

your own mug - even if tea & coffee is supplied, they never have enough cups.

Paracetamol, for when you have drank the contents of your cool box, or fallen off.

our stabling was some way from the lessons & the camping area, so if you can squeeze in your bike, it would be moocho handy for zooming about on.

HAVE FUN!

From my experience ...
Plenty of spare numnahs! (incase it rains everyday like it did for me :P )
Plenty of warm jumpers, spare rain coats, trousers etc just incase ! I had 4 jumpers on one night when it was particularly stormy and cold !
A raincoat for your horse :P very handy, and if your horse is in temporary stables he may need one over night alot of ours leaked!

Have fun you will love it!
x

Passport/vacination cert ...if it's not already been mentioned.
Emergency telephone numbers.
Spare bridle (just in case some of the leather work snaps)
