So I am calling my equine vet/dentist tomorrow to book in for a routine check-up for my gelding. He has been a little grumpy recently and occasionally pulling faces (totally out of character). Had a good look in his mouth and his teeth are definitely coming through bless him, must be a bit sore.

I took a few pics this evening to see if anyone could advise if anything looks amiss? Tried looking online but there aren't many clear pics of what the adult teeth emerging are supposed to look like :/

Sorry they are not very clear, it was a little difficult getting pics and getting him to co-operate by myself!

Champagne and chocolates on offer as it is my birthday! :)

they are fine! my boy likes to "laugh" in my face, so I noticed when he had a wobbly tooth, and caught it when it came out! but I was really worried for a while that it had snapped off as the one coming through looked really rough a wonky but a year on its totally normal now!

They do look normal, gruesome but normal!
It's a horrible time for them, front incisors, back molars, wolf teeth out and tushes pushing through! Pleased, my boy has just gone through it all.

Don't worry they are fine.

Good to know!

They always look pretty gruesome at that stage.
Interesting gap in the front on his lower set, nothing to worry about I'm sure but I haven't seen that before.

Funny you should mention this. I noticed too when uploading the pics. I guess I was so preoccupied with the upper teeth I didn't notice it. I will ask the dentist's opinions :)

I'm really hoping in a gruesome way that I find one of Ben's teeth once it has fallen out, would love to get a good look!

Yes, he just seems a little grumpy in himself bless him. I suffer with the most horrible mouth ulcers myself and always have done (doctors have done every test under the sun and still can't figure out why) so I really sympathise for him!

Oh bless him that does look sore! I have a rising 3yo pony who has been chewing all the fences, I must look in her mouth tomorrow!

This is how I first noticed Ben's coming through, hope she is not too sore. Poor sods, mouth pain is horrible :(
