Any adults here with Ponies? How tall are you and how tall are your ponies? Pics would be fab! I do love big horses but hoping to purchase a little 14.2 Connie and I’m 5ft 4 and just hoping I’m not too big but i dont feel bit on her. I had a 14.3 before and felt fine!

I am 5ft 4 and I find the perfect height is somewhere around 14.2hh-15hh. That said, I currently ride a 13.1hh pony and feel fine on her.

I’m 5’4 and DP is an overgrown pony at 15hh, he should be 14.2 but grew bigger than desired and takes up the leg of a 6ft person with ease. He is as large as I would feel comfortable on and I need a mounting block or gate to get on. The Connie is 14.1 and a perfect size, zippy and fun to ride.

I am 5'3" and my semi retired cob is 13.3. She was more than capable of carrying a taller adult in her younger years and they didn't look odd at all

I’m 5ft 2 and my boy is 13.2hh. I do sometimes feel a bit big for him but my saddler and physio have both commented that I’m not. I was supposed to sell him, but got too attached. My next one will be at least 15hh, even if I will look like a pea

Until three years ago, I was riding a 12 hh Exmoor and I'm 5'4". Now ride a 15 hh cob, but I do miss riding a pony. Pony had a lot more stamina and went faster!

I'm 5'4" and my current lad is 14h and I did have a bunch of Fell ponies in my teens to mid 30s and none of these ever felt small.
My main ride for 20+ years until I got my latest pony was a 13h Icelandic who I admit always felt like there wasn't much in front of you but he was tough as old boots and never tired even doing things like the Lady Towneley Loop. In his nearly 30 years the only lameness he ever had was from fighting and from standing on a nail.
