Adults/work for rides.

Firstly...YYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYY!

After being told I couldnt ride anymore due to knee injury I have today found an unopened letter...the hospital got my test results mixed up and now say I can but take it steady.....OMG this means sooooo much

So,do riding schools still do work for rides and do they take adults?
Would be good for me,build up confidence on the gound and shed some of the weight I have put on

I would say that each establishment would have different rules.
Try booking a lesson first & make sure you're happy with the facilities & horses, try another just in case they're better. Once you've had a couple, ask about working in exchange for lessons. I would rather have a better quality of lesson and possibly pay a reduced rate & part work than go to a hovel and work like a slave for a rubbish 1/2hr ride.
 
Hi, Thats great news. I am not a riding school but have 4 horses who need exercising nr Barnsley. I would be happy for someone to help muck out etc in exchange for riding. It would depend on their riding ability though because although not naughty they aren't suitable for novices. Please pm me if you would like to talk.
