Has anyone tried this for repelling ticks? My dog has been picking up a few lately and is getting increasingly suspicious about me removing them with the tick remover, so I think I need to do something else that is not so stressful for him. I am just a bit worried about bad reactions etc and using strong chemicals if they are not going to work. We have never had a problem with fleas which is why I am thinking about using this product rather than Frontline. Thanks.

Advantix is very well used, and well tolerated. It can only be purchased from a Vet, whereas I *think* that Frontline can be sold by an SQP in pet stores.

Advantix is said to repel ticks whereas Frontline only kills them once they are attached

Looking to repel ticks if possible--JR collecting more than her fair share requiring lengthy daily inspections and use of O-Tom

So really interested to know if Advantix does what it says ie repel them as prefer not to use lots of chemicals but numbers of ticks getting 'silly''

we switched from frontline to advantix a few years ago and i reckon put it through the best test ever - stayed with family in most remote place you could ever imagine in north west highlands, as we were driving back along the track, several miles long, to the road we had the windows down as no aircon and it was roasting hot - we were literally flicking sheepticks off the windowledges of the car continually, it was gross! And the dogs? Not a single one:D
