Has anyone's dog had a reactn to a vaccination?

I took my GSD for his annual check up and vaccination on Tuesday evening. On wednesday morning he was a little subdued and his legs were a bit stiff. This started to get better from thursday morning and today he is back to normal, but on wednesday I was quite worried about him.

Anyone else experienced this?

Personally no, tho there has been an awful lot about it recently (or more prob as I have been looking into it)..have a very similar breed and my rescued boy massively stresses and am reluctant to innoc because of that due to a possible increased chance of adverse reaction as he would be adrenalized simply by being in new room with new people, let alone the handling/injecting part.

I hope your GSD is better and all back to normal and feeling ok. have a look at Andi Browns The Whole Pet Diet-she has a fb page so you can likely read the thoughts and reasoning she gives..mainly to do with heavy metals & the carriers it is thought its such a rock/hard place situation to be in. She does offer a doggy detox diet plan which is excellent if you are wanting to go that way about getting any toxins out of his system..that is in the book tho I am sure you could find it online with a little persistant googling.:)

We have vaxed literaly hundreds of dogs/pups and I have yet to see what I would cal a bad reaction other than the more common and expected, loose faeces, lethargy, off food, soreness around inj site and very, normaly passed in a day or 2 and more uncomonly/rarely vomiting. The vaccine does tax the immune system so you can expect some resistance from the body:)
Worming and fleas treatments can also have the same effect on some dogs.
I think some people mistake the common side effects/reactions as severe/bad reactions and I think it's cos you where not expecting or maybe not experienced alot of vaxes before, not that I am saying thats the case in this case. Hope he feels better now.
