Well my pony has been up for sale for a few weeks now and only had a few messages from people not actually interested, but I don't understand why...I don't think theres anything wrong with the ad!

Won't put the link as don't want to be seen as advertising but it has basic info - 13.2, 9yo good to hack bla bla bla.
Maybe my pictures aren't the best...I can try to get some better ones today but still, is it just because of how many ponies are for sale atm? Or is my price too high?? Put her up at £1000 but I have no idea what ponies are selling for. Maybe I should lower it as shes not a first pony for a kid so maybe that is putting people off? But too low a price might attract idiots  Help!

GO on www.e-venting.co.uk and read their Buy/Sell guide. Its full of info on selling your horse including what should and shouldn't be in a good advert. They're on part 9. You'll have to go look for the articles but there's loads of cool things to read on there anyway! :p That series is really helpful though :)

I experienced the same recently...selling my horse and people weren't really interested. I felt my ad was relly descriptive and she was not a first horse either...15.3 11yr mare, had her up for £2500 but open to sensible offers. Ended up sending her to a dealer :( very sad as I didn't want too but needed a quick sale as I brought her as a first horse but she wasn't which was a shame really, and she was up in ads for well over 2 months. Def agree on reading up on how to make your ad better :) fingers crossed she sells!!

Took almost a year to sell mine ,& my friends has been for sale for a year now :( both well worded ads with good pics on BS ponies with good records & at good prices. I think its just the market I'm afraid :( Good Luck though xx

If she is proven and a good allrounder she is too cheap imho.
Sometimes if you see an ad and you wonder why it is cheap and it can put people off even ringing. If you want to pm me the ad I can look for you .
I think it is luck at the moment finding the right buyer. We saw a pc games pony for sale and looked at the ad for over a month. We expected him to have been sold by the time we rang as he was very well priced (older than yours) but we did get him for 1300. He is 15 been there and done it but not a first pony and very fast.
Different areas matter aswell though. Have you put the ad on your local pony club site ? they are usually free and the first point of call when you start looking for a pony for pc type stuff.
Good luck
