Advertised Pony Yesterday, No Interest, Should I Reduce Price?

He is currently advertised at 250, should I reduce him? I posted on here yesterday before I advertised and people seemed to think it was a fair price, but I have had no interest and need to sell him before I can find a very old and slow pony for my daughter to go off leadrein.

(Advertised pony is unbroken 2 year old registered section A gelding)
 
TBH, if I were trying to sell I'd advertise on Thursday, so that people who want to look at the weekend have time to arrange that. IMO Saturday/Sunday is when most people who want to buy will be out looking at prospective purchases, not trawling through on-line ads. I should wait a while longer before reducing your price.
 
Yesterday? And you're panicking?! I wouldn't have thought many people will phone on a Sunday anyway - I wouldn't, as I'd expect people would not want to be bothered. Also as it's school holidays, people might have gone away so might not be looking for a pony today! I would leave it at least another week if not longer.

Hi Eriskayowner, he is advertised for 250 pounds.

I will stop panicking now and be patient! Was tempted to ask my friend if she wanted to swap him for some chickens (most of ours have died from old age) as she has no money.... but the neither do I lol.... so I will hang on in there
 
The price must be too high if you havent sold the pony yet. You have been advertising him since June and he still hasnt sold. If the pony is sound and everything else about him is correct then it has to be the price.
 
I havent been advertising him since June, he is priced at 250 and was advertised yesterday!
I advertised my cob youngster which would have been about June, she sold at the beginning of Jly and has just came 2nd in the AESS championships at Arena Uk with her new owners, I advertised her at 950 as I didnt want her to go but the people that bought her are lovely. I sold her for 750 so dont feel I over value them x
 
I dont think your Welsh A is overpriced either and hes look very nice. I thought I read that you had advertised him before but if not then no dont reduce the price.

Where did you get that information? I (mostly!) went by the information in the first post. You must have read it even less thoroughly than I did!
 
I did keep umming and arrhing about selling either of them, but we just didnt have the time for my youngster and she did find the perfect home. Im still the same with Splash which is why I would really like him to sell quickly so cant keep changing my mind lol.
Which reminds me I need to change it as I clicked myself as a trade advertiser... cant cope with selling 1 lol x
 
Sorry yes ...duh! I did put him on there (Jees was that June?) but dont class it as advertising really as they are free and dont get many people looking and I had completely forgot he had been on there!!! I class the Horsemart advert as proper advertising as I have now paid to advertise (and put him on cheaper in the first place!)
 
No it wasnt in june my mistake. I remember reading about him a few times and thought it was a while ago. It is a shame you cant keep the pony for a year or so as his value will increase in time. The price you have him at is nothing and is a very good price if there isnt anything wrong with the pony. Hang in there and maybe someone will come along and snap him up.
 
I probably should hang on to him for a while, he is a really genuine pony, never been sick or sorry and happy to be brushed, handled and de-spookified by the kids with flags, balls, windmills etc. I wish I knew a good, small jockey who could break him when he is ready and bring him on abit for my daughter. That would be the perfect situation, there just doesnt seem many about!
 
The price is very fair. I sold a Section A yearling filly last September for £500. She was very well handled and you could do pretty much anything with her. She went from an ad on Horsequest but the ad was just going into its 5th (and last) week before I got a call - but she sold to the one and only call!!! Be patient!
