Hey all,
My friend is selling a pony and asked if I would put out a query to ask advice re pricing as she doesn't have access to a computer. It's a beautifully marked skewbald yearling filly. Dam is a welsh sec B and sire is a coloured WB. She is graded 1st premium with the SSH and has won and been placed in coloured, riding ponies in hand and part welsh classes this year inc the Royal Highland and has qualified for Blair at the end of the month. Impeccably behaves and very pretty. Should make 14hh. Would be a great childrens pony. She has priced her at £1000 but has had NO interest. Is she pricing her too high? Opinions please! Thanks! x

I'd think she was worth more as she sounds like she has so much potential to go even higher maybe its not the price but where the advert is placed.

Also worth putting word out at events

I don't think many people would want to buy a yearling at the moment however nice because of the credit crunch. Not many people show youngstock in hand really, they are more likely to pay a bit more for something old enough for a child to ride now. Also the fact that the pony appears to be in Scotland narrows the market again. I definitely dont think she is too pricey though.
