My hopefully new loan horse hasn't been in full work for about a year because his owner just hasn't had the time with work. My YO has said he's a lovely horse and isn't nasty but as his owner has honestly said he may be a pain for the first few weeks.
Any advice/exercises to help me ease myself into him. I'm going to have lessons on him aswell.
Thanks :)

Hi, don't you want to be able to try out a new loan horse? Perhaps the owner should pay the YO bring him back into work so that you can try him out properly and make sure he is the horse for you

Yeah me and owner are gonna work to bring him back into work, I've known him for 4+ years so I've seen him in lessons, her riding, her dad hacking him etc haha.
I also work at said yard part time and have dealt with him on full livery.
Just wanted some people's advice on lunging exercises, gonna do a lot more ground work with him.
