After the theft of my kawasaki mule last night, I spent a 15 minutes talking to West Dorset's (ONE and ONLY!!!)Crime Prevention Officer. He can't visit as he has to cover huge area singlehanded( and we wonder why rural crime is on the increase...). He recommended that I look at the Smartwater site. It certainly warrants further investigation to protect lorry/tack etc.
Policing is VERY thin down here. THe bobby who visited the scene of the crime admitted that if I did call 999 over the w/e prob nobody cd come as too busy breaking up fights in Bridport...and at other times allow an hour. Just keep the villains talking, I guess, and make cups of tea before handing over kettle.... Give me strength.

Yep - I've marked my saddles and most of our valuables with smart water.

The police are more likely to pick this up that microchips as the smart water company are so helpful to them.

Fights in Bridport? - I can't believe it, its such a lovely town!

Sorry to hear about your Mule - we also have had another spate of Quad Bike thefts along with any other chainsaws, brushcutters, etc they can get their hands on! The Police know who's doing it but catching them in the act is another matter.

Hi! Apparently Bridport has a dark side..after dark! Yoof, mainly. Binge-drinking etc.
I am beginning to get very depressed about the inability of the police to do anything about the perpetrators of these crimes. My brother-in-law's firm had two brand new JCBs nicked and the police have an aerial photo of both machines in a traveller's site but won't go in... it's unbelievable!
