Hello everyone,
I have a Cob x Gypsy Vanner that is realy strong and i have had snaffle's pelhams gag's in him but they're either to weak or to strong and i need somthing inbertween , I have been told on several accounts that a Kimblewick with a low port is good ( Metal ), But i am curious about the happy mouth / rubber ones he is going on 6yrs young and obviously i dont want to ruin him by putting on to severe in him. So any advice would be appriciated :) xxx

I love Kimblewicks .

My first mare had one metal one , my mare now has a rubber covered one which we use for sponsored rides only when I need extra brakes.:)

There are several types of kimblewick
Rubber
metal there are 2 types of metal ones, I like the one with the option of moving resins up and down .
Happy mouth jointed etc and more http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_f...313&_nkw=kimblewick&_sacat=See-All-Categories

Kimblewick works on:
corner of the mouth
poll
tongue
chin groove.

The severity of a bit depends on :
Thickness
smoothness
length of teeth
shape of the tongue pieces
