Sorry this may be long but want to give as much info as poss
I have a 7 yr old TB mare, trained but never raced. Had her 18 months and hacked, schooled, xc, local shows all no problem. Lessons every outher week flat and jumping
Two weeks ago I thought I should start to hack her by herself, we have a long driveway off yard and aim was to get to end of drive. She was not happy stopped, spined etc after 20 mins of standing still (trying to sit it out) someone walked with us. I then hacked with an other horse and she was nappy on road but kepped going once "friend" got a bit in front. Hacked couple more times with other and she has got better or back to normally (no napping)
Yesterday I took her in the school and she was a nightmare, would not trot, throw head in air, ran into school fence got her going and had some good work. Then came back to walk and she went into a corner and that was that 20 mins latter someone lead us out again was fine once got going. I span her, walked backwards and sat still when she was in corner.
Back checked 2 months ago, teeth up to date only thing that may need checking is saddle which Im booking today.
Was meant to have a lesson today but that has been cancelled, so will ride in school any ideas, advice, help as to how to ride her etc
