Advice needed again!

Am just about to put up a new advert for Owen as a allrounder on Horse and Hound, so I can only have one photo in the magazine...
So just wondering which type of photo attracts the most calls when advertising an allrounder?a jump photo, or a dressage photo, or a photo of the horse standing?Have also got a really good photo of the horse cantering during a cross country. Horse is a v.good dressage horse and showjumper and is equally strong in both phases. Any idea of which photo to use to attract the most (sensible and experienced) callers?

I rather like the Xc pic - it indicates he can do the dressage (or he wouldn be in a ODE) shows he's not strong, (in a snaffle) and peeps can ask about SJ - but being able to go XC indicates boldness.
and generally looks like a nice 'all round' horse.
 
I love the first pic but that'd attract so many people who want to event.
Maybe the galloping one, I also like the trotting one in your sig
 
It's tricky really if you are advertising him as an allrounder.

I love the first one over the XC jump, but that might not show well in the small space they allow on H&H.

The second one should look good.

Don't like the 3rd one or the schooling photos.

I think I'd use the XC cantering one - leaves something to the imagination and doesn't put Owen in any particular box.
 
Lovely horse! Is he an alrounder rather than an eventer? I think the first photo is the best, the cross country jump one. He looks like he's neat and bold. I would definitely respond to an advert for an alrounder with a picture jumping as opposed to doing flatwork.

I like the 2nd one, shows that he is forward and keen but still in a snaffle.
Not so keen on the SJ one as it misses his head or the schooling ones although the square halt is quite nice.

How much is he being advertised for?

I think for an allrounder I'd want to see a nice SJ one - the XC one will encourage eventers IMO.

Good luck with it, someone will come along for him I've no doubt.
 
Personally I would be most attracted by the first photo - I like to see a photo of the horse actually competing, because some horses are happy to do it all at home but don't perform so well when out!
 
Thanks EJ! Am advertising as an allrounder really rather than an eventer, because although he loves jumping big hedges/normal fences on XC, he still needs work on ditches/steps/water. But perhaps a seasons hunting will sort that out...
 
Those pesky ditches! Well I think he looks super and a complete bargain tbh! What can you buy for that kind of money - not much!
 
I like the second pic- it shows he can do XC and he looks really happy.

He is such a stunning lad, and sounds like what I'll be looking for in a few months. Sadly I haven't got pennies right now.

It mostly depends what sort of home you want him to go to - if jumping is his thing and you'd like him to go to a home where they jump at least a bit, then the first one. I like the second one too, it just gives a happy feel and should attract someone looking for a nice all rounder.

Too many flower pots in the way in the third one and I'd avoid flatwork ones unless you really want him to go to a dressage home - and be aware that people only use flatwork pics to look for faults and pull apart your riding (or maybe that's just me and adverts). Standing still should be for conformation and those are really difficult to get right, so I'd not go for that.
