Well I have finally got a new horsey and love her to bits, she is 4 & half year old cob x tb called Darcie. She arrived on Friday and seems to have settled really well, but I am worried sick that she is lonely because she has no company and in a big 3 acre field on her own.

Unfortunately I work full time so only get to see her in the morning and then when I get home but its dark which isnt ideal:(

Should I be worried about her being on her own? Do you think some sheep would be a good idea? or do I get her onto a livery yard?

Any advice appreciated I am going out of my mind with worry!

Firstly, congratulations on your new horse! Hope it all works out for you two :)
Companionship-wise, if I'm honest I think it's better for her to have company. Some horses seem to cope ok being on their own but the majority are happier having friends they can play with and learn from (especially if she's only young), as they are naturally herd animals. If she's truly on her own (no horses over the fence etc) then it may be nicer for her to have a companion, if possible - preferably a horsey one but anything is better than nothing. If you can afford to keep another pony then there seem to be quite a few companion ponies for sale/loan at the moment, or you could share your field (grass livery?) as already suggested if that's something you'd be happy with? :) x
