Help! Have had about thirty years trouble free travel with Ifor Williams trailers, but would really like some day living. Would love a show treka m but am worried having read reports of axel problems. I have to cross part of my neighbours drive to get onto mine and its very rough and bumpy. Would the Equitrek cope? The show treka m seems pretty hard to find second hand (which probably means people keep hold of them!) - but I have found three of the older Sports Trekas, priced very reasonably, but they have been on sale for some weeks and have not sold. Does everybody know something about this model that I don`t?? I`m near Colwyn Bay in North Wales - does anyone know of an Equitrek I can hire? Any advice sooo appreciated! Thank you!!!:)

Hi, I don't have an equitrek trailer but I think it would be wise for you to read the thread by Marydoll at 10.08 yesterday - very worrying and it sounds as if they had a lucky escape. I have a Bateson which I travel two large horses in and I have had no problems over the last 7 years, touch wood.:)

I have an Equitrek Space Treka L and I love it. There was a front wheel axle recall (they have 2 wheeel axles) as there were some reported problems with certain dated builds. I have mine replaced under the recall. Very pleased allround.

Cannot see Marydoll's thread?

From the reports and posts I have read over the last few years it would appear that when clients have reported a problem to them they just have not responded in a positive way. It would appear that the axel problem had been reported numerous times to them but it took several years for them to accept that there was a problem. It would be interesting to get a direct response from them to explain this issue further.

I have a ShowTrekka M & have travelled thousands of miles with it over the last 3 years with no problems at all, I use it about 2/3 times weekly. The axle problem was with the ShowTrekka L & they have been recalled to have the axle replaced FOC.
