Hi could anyone give me some advice please ? my horse who i have owned for 4 months ,has not been right for a while , i had my vet out and he diagnosed sacroiliac strain and tenosynovitis ,he has been on box rest for the last month. My vet came out today and scanned both areas , his main problem is he has a lot of inflammation in the right side of his sacroiliac joint , my vet wants to put him on weekly iv sodium hyaluronate ,has anyone had any experiences with this ? i mentioned to my vet about steroid injections but he says he does not agree with it as he feels it is a temporary solution .I am unsure if either treatment will be successful , do i just retire him now ,to save months of box rest ,vet fees etc ,or should i turn him away for 6-12 months ? if anyone could offer any advice it would be hugely appreciated .Thanks
