Sorry, this is non-horse related!
Also in SB.

There was a baby pidgeon sitting under the bonnet of mum's car, leg dangling and looking a little icky, wing looked broken.
Mum persuaded it near me with a broom and i grabbed it in a towel.

We now have a injured pidgeon which is in shock sitting in a box in our lounge.
Mum's giving it some seeds, RSPB don't do rescue, RSPCA offices are shut.
Don't know of any other local bird people!

I'm in the Balsall Common area.

Any ideas on who to phone, etc??
If not tonight then will contect RSPCA tomorrow, and if they tell us they can't help we'll probably take it to the farmer to wring it's neck.

Any replies!? ASAP please.

Many thanks, Lizzie! x

This is going to sound horrid, but here goes

There is no point at all in keeping this poor bird alive..... it will never have an enjoyable life with a knackered wing. It will also probably be dead of shock by the morning,. having spent a dreadful last few hours suffering while it dies.

If you have a heart then be hard and get someone to dispatch it now.

(runs away and ducks all the flack)!!!

I'm with MerlinsQuest...there is very often little they can or will do for birds and a pigeon is technically vermin, so doubt they will be interested.

Well done, best thing for it IMO. I'm afraid I upset a few of the girls up the yard when they brought me a Pidgeon that had been caught by the dogs..................It went for a short walk round the corner!!!!

Don't think they will ever forgive me!!!!
