A good friend of mine has a lovely little pony but he can not be ridden and has had a bad past.

Its getting to the point where she can not afford to keep him but also dosent want to just give him away to just anyone. hes 10 years old and 13hh and not good for children as can be a handful occasionaly.

Some people have said it would be best to just put him to sleep :(

I personally think she should try and find a loan home so she can still see him but its proving difficult as hes not really good for anything he cant stay out all year round and gets upset when left alone.

Does anyone know of any organisations that will take him on?

he really is a lovely little pony but im sure there are plenty like him out there. My friend just wants to do the best she can for him.

The problem with this is that every charity is full to the seams with horses that have a useful purpose in life. Loans are being returned as the loanee's can no longer afford to keep them.
Being a pony he stands a better chance of finding a companion home, but if not then really she ought to PTS.

i thought they would be. We have tried to advertise as a companion but no such luck. He would ideally suit somewhere with someone on their own land

i dont understand why you think pts is the worst option.

far better than the unknown, if hes really that bad he could end up anywhere with anyone dealing with him which is far worse.
