advice needed

Hi im new to this forum
im going to look at a part loan tomorrow
i know all the basics but what advice would you give me for 1st time part loaner

Mainly communicate with the owner.

Be as honest as possible, because neither of you want to be in a situation where it turns out the truth isn't exactly what was told. If you overestimate your ability or assure them that you can ******** (fill in as appropriate) and they rely on this, you will let them down. It is ok to say you can't do something, they might be able to help you learn something new, or decide you are unsuitable (which in the end might be the best move for you too)

Talking means that you can iron out any problems or niggles early on, because leaving things to stew makes everything worse and can turn an amicable relationship nasty.
