Have just had news we can put our two horses into the farmers 8 acre field. Theres decent coverage of grass in there, was last grazed by cattle around autumn time.
We have a 14.2 cob who's doing fine and a 14.1 TBx who is 22 and rugged. Theyre both currently having their max daily allowance of hay out into the field and a feed.

Although now they're going into this field, how should we best adjust their diets? They've got the field to themselves until around April

Thanks guys :)

Ii would just be particularly careful about your 14.2hh cob as we have had a very mild winter and the grass has not exactly become very poor. I would cut down on the hay and just watch their weight very carefully. Good luck with the move :)
