was trotting my mare today in the school (grass paddock set aside for schooling) and she tripped then again as she was getting up and had a huge stumble almost rolled onto her side but she recovered. i walked her around for a bit but she felt like she had felt before she tripped there was no evident problem. however once back on the yard i noticed fresh scrapes on her back leg which she didnt have prior and one that had bled. theres some heat in the area and swelling (and pulled a right face an raised her leg when i had a feel). just purple sprayed the scrapes and turned her out in the field so she can walk around but i did notice she was a little stiff. any advice for if shes still stiff tomorrow? was thinkin of cold hosing the area if still heated tomorrow but do you have any other advice? we have a vet coming monday to do her tet and flu jabs so could always wait til then.
