Advice on bits?

I am currently riding my horse in a jointed snaffle. I want to do some showing with him but when riding him he can get quite strong and hang on the bit.

This is pulling me forward and I am finding it difficult to get his head up, can anyone suggest a bit I can use which may help with this problem?

someone suggested to ride him in a Waterford but obviously I cant ride him in an outline if I use this.

if you are showing you should use a pelham or a double bridle...

I prefer a pelham/rugby pelham (some people on here don't like rugbys!) as most horses I ride prefer just 1 bit in their mouth...

I have a french link rugby and most horses seem happy with this....

maybe go on the bit bank here and ask if anyone has one you can try on him to see how he responds in it
