Prob sounds like a silly question, but how do I behave when doing it? Like what to say? When I bought my horse it was a case of she sais he is x, I said ok, then 4 days later paid her and horse was moved.

I have 2 that we like, both for a companion then lead rein when Bubba is old enough. 1 is currently still young, but he will be small. The other is experienced, and sounds like a jumping pony (which could swing either way), and is a hand bigger. But both are under 13hh.

I have a friend who is jsut 8st who would help in excersizing what ever one I got.

But..........I dont want to seem too keen then turn around and say we are going with the other pony etc. I get very nervous doing things like this. I know it is also down to the seller and wether they like me and where ponio will stay. I would take both if I could......and I have a sneaking feeling that I possibly will as I hate to let folk down :(.

Be honest with yourself first of all. You need to be come to a firm decision in your own mind, as for what to say, which ever one you go for, make an offer, they either accept it, or they don't. I'm sure you'll be fine!

Well, both really as the main thing is a companion. secondary to that would eventually be a pony for my daughter. 1 is broken already and experienced, the other is a year or 2 away from being broken (the smaller one). But one I would be buying, the other I am not sure if it is a proper sale, or a pay x amount and have pony for x time deal.

Child isnt even a year so she wouldnt even be in control of either off a lead rein for at least 4 years.

So main priority is companion.

Personally I'd go with the experienced one, mainly because even if the younger one is a lovely pony, a young pony might not take kindly to lots of lead rein work - and you'd not no how well they'd go until you got there - bit of a risk ...

Well, I spoke to the first lady tonight and pony sounds like a wee star, exactly what we are looking for - older and great with kids, and easy to keep but likes a fuss over.

So Ive a link to some vids to watch and to call her tomorrow and take it from there with view to a perm loan - if the wee owner (child) is happy with our set up. He definitely will be fussed over here! There is a group of teeneage girls itching to groom ponies to within an inch of their lives!

But knowing me I will prob end up with the other one as well!

aww sounds like a lovely little pony.. :) it'd be good for your little un when they get older if the ponio is happy being groomed as well - great way for them to bond out of the saddle :)
