Looking for a bit of advice.
Have been on my own for years and would like to go on some dates and meet someone to go out with, for meals and company, problem is I do not really go anywhere to meet single people.
Have you any ideas of how I can.. safely.
Has anyone tried internet dating?
Im well over 21 :(:(

My friend did she is well over 30. At first she did it for fun but beware there are loads of weirdos out there.

She met her husband on a dating site.

Looking on site there is a lot of threads that are not horsey based, so it gave me idea of asking on here as people seem helpful with advice. Mind you meeting people for girlie evening would be nice to have a chat and a meal, good way of making friends. Was sort of looking for a date as been on own to long. Sorry if it is not 100% horsey

I met my husband on an internet date... happily together still 10 years on... but he prefers his mode of transport to have an engine not 4 legs...

oh sorry it wasnt dateline it was match.com

I remember she said that plentymorefish was very dodgy.

my hair dressser found her fella on plentymorefish and told me to look (not that i have) or i heard someone talking about muddy mates ball (i think thats what it was called) its for single farmer/horsey/country people to meet i think it was puite expensive for a ticket but im sure if you google it you will find what im on about lol

I don't 'do' internet dating but my social life isn't what it used to be so I decided to give it a whirl - well my friend suggested it. Plentyoffish dating - it's free! That's about the only reason i went on to be honest, i don't want to pay. If you want to give it a try first then I would suggest this site as it's a little less full on than dating sites you pay for and, if you decide internet dating maybe isn't for you then you've not lost anything. On the other hand it may make you decide you want to venture onto more serious dating sites.

I have been on few dates - not met anyone I'd say is for me yet though but then my friends tell me I am too fussy. I certainly can't say I've not been asked for plenty of dates, i am just being very picky! Lol

I think it's definitely the way to go these days. My friend found herself a policeman a couple of years ago on something like men in uniform.com and they were married last saturday :)
