Advice on feeding

Hey guys

My pony has been on haylage all winter in stables and i want to turn her into the field...

Whats the best way to go about it? And to avoid colic with change to diet?

Shes a 14hh Cob Filly

Any advice would be great

Do you mean she has been in permenantly with haylage only (as in not on grazing at all).

If this is the case i would probably only turnout for a short period initially and gradually increase the grazing over a week or so. You could also give her haylage in the field either on the floor or in a haynet so she has the option to consume both??

I second this but do need to know if she was in all winter and not turned out at all to graze? If she was out, for how many hours?
