Hi- I'm in a bit of a dilemma and was hoping someone had some advice!
I've recently taken a pony on loan from a close family friend, we were based at the same yard for a long time and I know the pony and it's history very well, and we've had a great time since he's come to us on loan.
He has a long history of local unaffiliated competing and we've had such a successful summer together that I have decided to register and try some BE 80s for a bit of variation and to get out and about to some new venues. As I said I know the pony well so when I got his passport I didn't check it thoroughly, just had a cursory look over to make sure vaccinations were up to date etc etc.
However, I'm just in the process of registering him on BE and went to check his passport and he has never been measured! It's a national pony society passport with a JMB page which has been left blank, and on his general description page there is no height recorded at all.
So basically I'm wondering how about I go about getting him measured! I've never been in this situation before, and so have no prior experience. I've had ponies in the past with life time height certificates for 148s, and I've been told by previous owners that he is 143- although now I'm not sure if this is just a guess! He's 17 and really most comfortable at 80s and 90s, so it's not as if we will be heading up to pony trials or anything similar - so I'm not sure if this affects the type of certification I will need ?
Any advice would be great!
