So, we clipped my boy last night. Just a low chaser clip, and now I would like to tidy up his feathers. For a pretty heavy cob his feathers are not massive. Smooth really down the front of the leg with lots at the back. I don't want to take them all off as he lives out and want to have his legs protected a bit over the winter but would like to tidy them up/thin them out a bit. Any suggestions on how I can do that without him looking silly??

I've always used clippers to do the feather. Just run them down the line of the leg without too much pressure to take off the amount you want. Or alternatively thinning scissors perhaps??

Thinning scissors. I always struggled with normal scissors and now I've got some thinning ones can't believe how much better it looks- no scissor marks :D

when i want to take all the hair off i just clip it all off but to leave some on i use some smaller clippers with the guard thing on so it leaves it a bit longerthen just tidy up with scissors every so often and a comb
