Advice on Hunter Noseband Width Needed

I am doing a showing and WHP show next weekend and need to buy a flat hunter noseband for J for ridden veteran and in hand veteran.

I was thinking he would be best in a 1 1/2" noseband?

Too thin and I think it would look awful so help please!

He is a 15.2hh Tb x App but of small hunter build - quite chunky with big shoulder/neck

Oh and if anyone can suggest somewhere that sells a hunter noseband cheaply or knows of one would be very grateful! Doesn't need to be great quality as only show a couple of times a year he has another bridle for everything else

Best thing to do is cut out lots of paper in the different sizes and see what fits best, would guess that the 1 1/2 would be best going by the headcollar size.

I have recently been looking for one for my cob, they seem to be around £40 new for english leather and rarely come up secondhand
