I have a 5 month old Hungarian Vizsla pup, who came from his breeder at 8 weeks being fed on Royal Canin Junior.

Not wanting to upset his digestive system, I kept him on the RC, which suits him fine. (no tummy upsets!) I bulk bought 2 15Kg bags on line, to get a better deal as RC aint cheap!

He is getting to the end of the second bag, so my question is, do I continue with the expensive RC, or do I change him to the cheaper Skinners Puppy, (my preferred choice) which I can buy locally. My other dogs are fed on a different Skinners product.

He obviously still has growing to do.

Is RC THAT much better than Skinners? I think that RC has 32% protein and the Skinners is 27%.

I certainly don't want to affect the growth of the pup or his future wellbeing.

I would welcome any thoughts or opinions. Thanks. :)

Crude Protein 27%
Crude Oils & Fats 18%

Skinners looks the better of the two. I would mix in some of the other varieties to make meals varied and also let the puppy build up more experience of other foods.
It is a standing joke that if a dog is fed only one food it will end if in the vets if it steals a chip.

Puppy food is a marketing myth.

RC is low quality, high price. Change super slowly to whatever you choose. Cereal is often a trigger for allergies and unnecessary to a dog.
