Hiiii :)

My neddy at the moment is behind a full grill (well and anti weave grill with the insert in) on because the plonker jumped the door back in January and got stuck

HOWEVER, seeing him behind the grill ALL the time is now quite depressing :(

He used to rear up at the door if anything left him (people, horses, probably even the yards jack russell if he had the chance!) He has now grown up slightly and isn't half as bad as what he was in the early days, he just "hugs" the door ( but keeps FOUR feet on the floor ) :)

Would anyone advise stallion bars?

I'd love him to stick his head over the door, I've been occasionaly taking the insert out of the grill to see how he reacts ands he's pretty cool with it. He loves the fact he can see the others!

Sorry its a long one! ANy advice would be muchly appreciated :)

Stallion bars are basically two bits of wood which go across the top opening. The horse can still get his head out, but can't jump the door. Obviously not ideal for what mine used to be like ( on his back legs at the door )

I've not heard of stallion bars either - all of our stallions had normal stable doors!

I wouldn't have thought he could jump out with the anti-weave without the infil, could he? My boy went demented when some awful YO put him behind a full grill without telling me (in fact, after having expressly told her not to do it as it would send him demented). I never really think it's good for them not to be able to interact.

Ah, Thankyou. You learn something new everyday don't you?

My stallion doesn't even have bars on his door, just a wall (double layer 1" oak planks, he'd break himself before he broke those) he lives out anyway so I don't have to worry about keeping him in.
