Advice on what make of saddle to choose

Help - we need a saddle that suits a tall rider and a (relatively) small horse.
The man is 6'2" and the horse is a 16hh Trakehner mare.
The saddle needs to work both for SJ and XC
Which saddle do the Mark Todd look-alike event riders use?

You need a good saddler to come out and bring a number of saddles for your horse and the rider to try. There are so many things to take into account! I've just used Bridlepath and was really pleased

Have two happy ponies and one a horse, and two cheerful riders

I have a 16hhish Westphalian who's got a lot of trakehner blood in her and finding a saddle to fit has been a task and a half - my brother, who also rides her, is about 6'4". We've ended up with an Ideal International Event with long panels in an 18" seat to accomodate the legs of us all, although it's verging on long when back in the proper position.

However, she goes better in it than in conventionally better fits.
