Advice on which make of saddle to choose

Help - we need a saddle that suits a tall rider and a (relatively) small horse.
The man is 6'2" and the horse is a 16hh Trakehner mare.
The saddle needs to work both for SJ and XC
Which saddle do the Mark Todd look-alike event riders use?

Something very forward cut!!! Depends on budget!! Single flaps are prob your best bet, with a flat seat so you can get away with having a slightly shorter seat... Butets are great if you have the £! Prestige or Ideal may work aswell?

William Fox-Pitt developed a saddle with Albion - the Ultima Contact which is very forward cut. I have one of these (although I am not a tall man!) and can say that it is a really lovely saddle. I use it for XC and SJ, and it fits my horse well. Here is a link.

i am 6" and i have a stubben with extra long flaps and get on great with it. depending on your budget and the seat size required i know of great saddler who would make a saddle made to measure and will work both with the rider and the horse to ensure it all fits correctly. if you are interested let me know.x
