Hi all, new here. My girls have just got their first pony. So now I am spending my time walking/jogging for miles. I can hopefully use a bike in the future but the pony is new and we are taking our time and getting to know each other. So best shoes for blister prevention and long distance please? Thank you.

They’re fab boots. I’m on my third pair and wear them every day. The first pair which were the lace up ones lasted about 4 years. The zip ones are just as comfy and l’ve now a best pair as well as a scruffy pair.

Awesome thread thank you! I've been wearing the Dublin Altitude paddock boots the last couple of months, I wanted a pair of ariats but the price was a bit prohibitive for me. The Dublin ones are great, I've not walked miles and miles in them yet but for shorter walks they seem good. I've not tried them in heavy mud though as I wear wellies for those x

Second the ariats. We have the lace up ones. So comfy. Brilliant if you walk and ride swapping over as you can ride in them.
Otherwise I wear scarpa walking boots. I barely make it out of walk.
My husband who sometimes has the job of running after the kids swears by all terrain waterproof trainers. He is an off road triathlete.
Problem with trainers is it blooming hurts when a pony stands on you!
