My 6 yr old horse is currently schooling nicely on the flat in a rubber snaffle bridle. He has never needed any other bit. However, he will be competing in riding horse classes this year and i would like him to go in double bridle. Do you think I should try a rubber pelham first or go straight into a double?
I used to ride my old horse in a double, so am confident in using one but not sure of the best way to introduce it.
