just had someone contact me via my ad on project horses, someone who used to sort out problem ponies and break horses for people. stopped a year ago to spend more time with her own horses. she is interested in taking poppy on (if i can't find her a suitable home) for a few months to bring her back into work and try and sort out her problems free of charge. she says she is bored so is looking for a challenge. do you think this would be a good idea?? just over winter then i could possibly try and start a fresh with poppy in the spring??

yeh definatly, i was just thinkin cause just found this out the new yard i am having to move to, the man who owns it is perfectly happy for us to use the fields to ride in (in the spring summer anyway) so i might actually be able to do some work with her

but i would still like someone more experienced to try and school her properly as don't feel i could right now

Second Katy - and visit first to make sure you're happy with how she does things, how hers look etc. etc. You could end up with a fantastic friend for life if it goes well, so make sure it doesn't go badly by doing your homework first!
The horse world has its share of unsavoury characters, but there are folk out there who really, genuinely, do want to help out you or at least your horse, for nothing.
